About

This is Welcome Home

Small, carefully curated retreats in places that call you home to yourself.

Many retreats fill gaps and entertain. Perhaps they are more of a yoga holiday. A Welcome Home retreat is something else.

In a world that moves with far too much pace and noise, we know how important it is to slow down and reconnect. Our guests arrive to a slow down, and the place around them has to match that intention. That is why we work so hard to choose properties that open wide their doors and say "come, stay, stop for a while". We take it from there, supporting you to go slowly, with purpose and grace.

We are all here, spending time on this incredible planet, and yet so often we do not see the potential of that. With Welcome Home Retreats, we invite you to see your life from a new angle and with a new perspective.

The four soul questions

Who am I? What do I want? What is my purpose? What am I grateful for?

Through the pillars of yoga, meditation, breathwork and the environment, we support you to ask and answer these questions. Gently, without fear or threat, your true path begins to open before you.

Small by design

We offer a limited number of places so that we can give each guest our time and energy, and so that guests can do the same for one another. Each retreat builds a small community.

Framed around yoga

Our retreats are built around yoga, so we ask that guests have some experience of practice. You certainly do not need to be an expert. You are also encouraged to immerse yourself in nature, through water, walking or other movement. Some of these are included, and some are offered as add-ons with local guides.

All inclusive

Every retreat includes sole and exclusive use of a five-star property, all meals, all practices and airport transfers. Flights are not included.

Founder and host

Catherine has over 30 years of experience welcoming guests and friends to Ireland. She has worked with numerous festivals, organising events and gatherings so that every guest's experience of Kerry is a positive and memorable one. She has also spent 30 years mentoring young people, helping them find agency for themselves.

Catherine is a certified Pranayama teacher and guides breathwork and meditation each day. She hosts you throughout your stay, making sure your Welcome Home experience is the very best it can be.

A welcome from Catherine

Welcome to Welcome Home, and thank you for taking the time to be here. With over 30 years of hosting and welcoming people from all over the world to Kerry, I am delighted to now welcome you.

I discovered yoga in my early 20s, but it was not until my early 40s that I really began my yoga journey. As a mother through my 30s I could not give my practice as much time as I wanted, and life pulled me in all directions. So my husband and I took our then three small boys on a seven-month trip through the Pacific, which changed our perspective on what we wanted from life, for ourselves and for our children. We went on to have our daughter, and when she was born my relationship with yoga deepened.

Now, having crossed the threshold into my 60s, I can say that my practice has never been stronger.

I know what it is, as a woman, to struggle with who I am. Often we get lost in work and in motherhood, if that is for us. I firmly believe that all experiences bring us ever closer to our true selves, but that we cannot always see it. Sometimes we need something to shift things for us. Suddenly, that light lets us hear and see our flow. Like a beautiful yoga asana, our life comes into our control and our world opens up.

I set up Welcome Home Retreats to do exactly what the name says. I want to look after you, to welcome you, and to offer you experiences that nurture and nourish you, so that you leave with tools you can draw on and practices you can bring into your own home, wherever that may be. I want to help you uncover who you are and reach your own unique potential.

When asked "How should I treat others?", Sri Ramana Maharshi famously replied, "There are no others."

We are One.We are Love.I am love.I am.Come Home. Welcome Home.
